Bold and Beautiful is an informal group who meet at the front of Manly Lifesaving Club and swim at 7am, 7 days a week from Manly to Shelly Beach and back, approximately 750 metres each way.
Each swimmer has a personal responsibility to decide whether or not they swim on any particular day. They should only swim if they are completely confident about the conditions of the surf, ocean and weather that they are choosing to swim in as ocean swimming can be a dangerous recreational activity.
All swimmers have a personal responsibility to determine that they have the physical condition to enter into and complete a swim safely without any water safety assistance from other swimmers or the group as a whole. If a swimmer has any existing physical condition or any doubt as to their ability to complete a swim they should have a medical check-up first.
Swimmers under the age of 18 should only swim if accompanied by a parent or a person who has parental responsibility for them.
Swimmers should be aware that there is no water safety nor insurance in the event of sustaining injury etc
If you choose to swim at any other time or on any other route, be it with Bold & Beautiful, or with friends whom you have made through Bold and Beautiful, the same applies.
Bold and Beautiful is owned and operated by Bold and Beautiful Swim Squad Pty Ltd.

More Information About Your Swims
At intervals throughout each day your swim totals and position in the challenge are calculated. Your total includes all the swims you have logged.
If you happen to log a swim inbetween these intervals then your name will appear at the bottom of the page, it's a bit like a waiting area and let's you know that your swim has been noted and will be included in the next update today.
When the next update occurs all those listed in the waiting area at the bottom of the page get included in the 'official' list that you see above this. The challenge positions are adjusted at this time.
If you log a swim for a previous day and view the attendance page for that day you will see your name in this bottom waiting area. It won't be moved up to the official list. Your challenge position for that day will not be influenced by that swim. Only your swim total and challenge position for today will be affected.
Likewise, if you delete a swim for an older date then that day's challenge remains unaffected by the decrease in your swim total. The next time the system calculates your total and challenge position for today will be adjusted.
Hopefully that makes sense, if you'd like to understand it better, use the feedback option in the menu option (top right) and tell us what it is you'd like more information on. Enjoy!
